Description
Quaint and compact, this campground offers an excellent opportunity for tent camping and exploring lower Cape Cod. The location is great for day trips to ocean beaches, Provincetown and area nature trails. A crystal clear pond is a 1/2 mile hike from the campground.
Geography:
Wellfleet Hollow State Campground is located in the lower part of Cape Cod and is an excellent place for base camp as you discover the many wonders of the quieter side of Cape Cod including marshes, beaches, kettle ponds and the Cape Cod Rail Trail.
Recreation:
Nearby recreation opportunities include the Cape Cod Rail Trail, the national seashore beaches, hiking trails and wildlife sanctuaries. Duck Pond is a half-mile hike and offers swimming and non-motorized boating. There are no lifeguards at this location.
Facilities:
As a quiet, tent-friendly campground, we do not accommodate RVs, trailers and 5th-wheels. This wooded campground offers 108 campsites, including accessible campsites, some sites with 20 amp electric hookups, a compact loop with campsites suitable for two people, a group campsite and a communal hike/bike site. Campground amenities include comfort stations with flushing toilets, outdoor showers and a dishwashing station. One comfort station is accessible. Resurfaced roadways and a new camp office make this a charming facility. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and a fire ring with a flip-grate for cooking. Pets are NOT permitted at this facility. There is no dumping station.
