Massasoit State Park offers tent and RV camping in a beautiful forested setting. There are opportunities for swimming, kayaking, mountain-biking, hiking and fishing. The new, fully accessible playground is amazing!
The state park encompasses 1,200 wooded acres with six lakes and ponds. Be sure to explore the area near one of our most unique features - a cranberry bog!
Throughout the park there are numerous hiking and mountain biking trails. There is a boat launch for canoes and kayaks located at the north end of (annually stocked) Lake Rico. There are plenty of places to fish from the shore too. Unguarded freshwater swimming at Middle Pond is a favorite activity for campers only. Accessible RV campsites with hard-packed surfaces, pedestal grills, and fire rings, and an accessible playground make this a family favorite destination.. Beach is for campers only
Massasoit campground has something for every camper, including sites with 20/30/50 electric sites, tent sites and a generator free area. Amenities include accessible flush toilets, showers and each site comes equipped with a picnic table, charcoal pedestal grill and afire ring. There is a dumping station at this facility.
While in the area, be sure to visit other nearby DCR properties: Myles Standish Monument, Forefathers Monument, Scusset Beach State Reservation and of course, Plymouth Rock at Pilgrim Memorial State Park.
Reservations can be made up to 4 Month(s) prior to your arrival date.
